Five signs stink bugs have found a way in.
Clusters near windows or siding
Stink bugs gather in groups as they search for gaps to move through as temperatures shift.
Activity increasing seasonally
Populations rise sharply during specific stretches of the year as conditions change outdoors.
Bugs found near light fixtures
Stink bugs are drawn to light, often turning up near windows and fixtures once indoors.
Visible entry gaps around trim
Small gaps around siding, trim, and rooflines are common access points.
Odor when disturbed
Stink bugs release a distinct odor when crushed or agitated, a common early sign of activity.
What a stink bug visit covers.
Treatment addresses the exterior entry points stink bugs use to get inside, along with any indoor activity already present. Rather than treating individual bugs as they're spotted, the goal is to reduce the population at the points where they're gaining access in the first place.
How treatment is carried out.
Exterior inspection
The technician checks siding, trim, windows, and rooflines for likely entry points.
Perimeter treatment
Entry points identified during inspection are treated to reduce access.
Indoor treatment if needed
Any indoor activity already present is addressed as part of the same visit.
Seasonal timing considered
Treatment timing accounts for the seasonal patterns that drive stink bug activity.
Follow-up if activity continues
Persistent activity gets a tracked follow-up visit rather than repeated one-off calls.
What determines how extensive treatment needs to be.
The size of the property's exterior, the number of likely entry points, and how established the activity already is all factor into the scope of a stink bug treatment. Properties with more trim, siding seams, or older construction often have more potential entry points to address.
